Mexico Pilgrimage

About this Pilgrimage

A sacred journey to Mexico, October 18–25, 2025. From the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe to the vibrant streets of Guanajuato and the pyramids of Teotihuacan, this pilgrimage blends faith, culture, and fellowship—with daily Mass and spiritual guidance from Fr. Joy Nellissery.

DAY 1:

SATURDAY 


We will depart with an early morning flight, upon arrival to Mexico. We will begin our journey with an in-depth visit to the Basilica of Santa Maria de Guadalupe. We will participate in a special Mass inside the basilica, followed by a guided tour that will take us to explore the museums and chapels of the complex, discovering the spiritual and historical richness. We will end the day with a warm Welcome Dinner, where we will be able to share with our fellow pilgrims. 

DAY 2:

SUNDAY

We will start the day with a visit to the imposing Palace of Fine Arts, one of the most important cultural landmarks in Mexico, where we will live a cultural experience of a Folklore Show. Next, we will head to the heart of Mexico City to visit the historic Metropolitan Cathedral in the Zócalo, where we will attend Mass. Afterwards, we will visit the Church of the Holy Family, a place full of history and devotion, where the remains of Blessed Miguel Pro rest, and we will explore its museum. To close the day, we will get back to our hotel. 

DAY 3:

MONDAY

After breakfast, we will depart to the site of the Fifth Apparition of the Virgin of Guadalupe, where Our Lady appeared to San Juan Diego’s Uncle and healed him. Then, we will explore the pyramids of Teotihuacan, where we will marvel at the grandeur of this ancient civilization. Finally, we will head to the charming town of San Miguel de Allende, known for its colonial architecture and welcoming atmosphere, where we will spend

DAY 4:

TUESDAY

Today we will begin by exploring the charming city of San Miguel de Allende, with a special visit to the majestic Parish of San Miguel Arcángel where we will have Mass. Finally, we will continue our journey to the vibrant city of Guanajuato, famous for its colonial architecture and bohemian atmosphere, where we will spend the day and have time off to wonder enjoying its charming streets and colorful alleys, also we will have mass at the Basilica of Guanajuato, we will continue to Leon Guanajuato where we will spend the night.

DAY 5:

WEDNESDAY

On this day in Leon, we will explore the impressive ExpiatoryTemple of the Sacred Heart, known for its Neo-Gothicarchitecture where we will have mass. After, we will have theopportunity to visit a street full of shoes and boots factories,famous for its artisanal quality. Finally, we will continue to SanJuan de los Lagos, the second most visited Basilica of Our Ladyof San Juan de Los Lagos, where we will spend the nightimmersed in its spiritual and devotional atmosphere.

DAY 6:

THURSDAY

After breakfast, we will continue with a visit to the emblematicBasilica of San Juan de los Lagos, an important Marianpilgrimage Basilica, the second most visited after Our Lady ofGuadalupe. Then, we will head to the Sanctuary of Santo ToribioRomo in Santa Ana, a place full of history and devotion in honorof this Mexican martyr. We will head to Guadalajara where wewill spend the night and have time off to wonder the City ofMariachis!

DAY 7:

FRIDAY

Today we will visit Sahuayo, Michoacán, where we will explore the Church of Santiago Apóstol, home to the remains of San José Sánchez del Río, the young martyr of the Cristero War. Then, we will head to the city of Tequila to enjoy a fascinating tour of one of its most emblematic distilleries, where we will learn about the process of making tequila, and taste this iconic Mexican drink in its place of origin. Then we will have our Farewell Dinner in this charming town. After, back to our hotel in Guadalajara.

DAY 8:

SATURDAY 

On our last day, we will visit the  Guadalajara Cathedral where we will have our farewell mass, with its imposing architecture and rich history. After some time to admire its beauty and reflect, we will head to the Guadalajara International Airport to take the return flight, thus concluding this enriching and spiritual journey.

The deadline for registration is August 30, 2025. After this date it is subject to availability, and payment is due in full.


To make your reservation, fill out the registration form included at the end of this document and send your deposit of $350.00 USD per person, which can be made by Zelle, Credit Card, Wire Transfer. An invoice will be sent to you by email within five business days after receipt of the deposit.
