Saint Joseph Pilgrimage
About this Pilgrimage
Join us on a sacred journey to Canada. From the majestic St. Joseph's Oratory in Montreal to the historic shrines of Quebec and the breathtaking Montmorency Falls, this pilgrimage blends faith, history, and fellowship—with daily Mass and spiritual guidance from Fr. Luis Largaespada.
DAY 1:
SATURDAY
Upon our arrival at Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport (YUL) in Montreal, we will be greeted to begin our transfer to the historic City of Quebec. After a shared lunch, we will travel through the landscapes bordering the St. Lawrence River on a drive of approximately three hours, an ideal setting for rest and contemplation. Upon arrival, we will check in and share a Welcome Dinner, entrusting our pilgrimage to the Holy Spirit.
DAY 2:
SUNDAY
After breakfast, we will head to the majestic Shrine of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré, home to countless miracles and the oldest pilgrimage site in North America. We will celebrate Sunday Mass and tour its sacred spaces, including the Holy Stairs (Scala Santa). Following a time of silence and veneration, we will visit the Montmorency Falls to admire the greatness of God in nature. We will then return to Quebec for an evening of personal reflection and free time.
DAY 3:
MONDAY
After breakfast, we will begin a walking tour through the historic old town toward the Cathedral-Basilica of Notre-Dame de Québec, the oldest episcopal see north of Mexico. This church houses the only Holy Door outside of Europe, a symbol of divine mercy. After venerating Saint François de Laval, we will walk toward the Ursuline Monastery to learn about Saint Marie of the Incarnation, a mystic who translated the faith into indigenous languages, becoming Canada's first teacher and spiritual mother.
DAY 4:
TUESDAY
In the morning, we will check out of the hotel and transfer to Montreal, stopping at the Shrine of Saint Marguerite d'Youville. Saint Marguerite was the first person born in Canada to be canonized. After becoming a widow, she founded the "Grey Nuns" to care for those whom nobody wanted: enemy soldiers, orphans, and the mentally ill. She was called the "Mother of Universal Charity." At her tomb, we will meditate on how to transform our own suffering into a service of love.
DAY 5:
WEDNESDAY
We will experience the central day of our journey at Saint Joseph's Oratory, the world's largest shrine dedicated to the Guardian of Our Lord. It was built through the faith of Saint André Bessette, a humble doorkeeper who healed the sick with oil from the saint's lamp. We will see the small, original wooden chapel as well as today's majestic dome. We will celebrate a Mass of Consecration for our families and pray the Stations of the Cross in the gardens, seeking the intercession of the "Terror of Demons."
DAY 6:
THURSDAY
After breakfast, we will cross over to Kahnawake to encounter Saint Kateri Tekakwitha, the first Native American saint of North America. Daughter of a Mohawk chief, she embraced the cross despite the persecution of her own tribe. At her shrine, we will learn how this 24-year-old young woman attained holiness by living in total harmony with creation. In the afternoon, we will return to Montreal, where you will have free time to rest, engage in personal prayer, or explore the city at your own pace.
DAY 7:
FRIDAY
After breakfast, we will begin our tour of Old Montreal. We will visit the Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours Chapel, founded in 1655 by Saint Marguerite Bourgeoys, the city's first educator. Afterward, we will visit the majestic Notre-Dame Basilica of Montreal. During our tour, we will celebrate our closing Holy Mass to give thanks for the graces received and to entrust the fruits of our journey. In the evening, we will culminate our pilgrimage with a Farewell Dinner in an atmosphere of joy and gratitude.
DAY 8:
SATURDAY
After breakfast, we will check out of our hotel. Depending on our flight schedule, we will have our final hours free in Montreal for personal reflection, a last walk through its historic streets, or purchasing any final details or souvenirs. At the designated time, we will gather for our private transfer to Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport (YUL) to board our flight back home, carrying with us a renewed heart and the blessings of this pilgrimage.
